Why is a product discontinued and is there an equivalent for it?REDKEN follows an International Marketing Plan and as part of this program we continuously review our product offering in view of keeping pace with our consumers’ requirements. We understand how you must feel concerning the disappearance of a product that you have used and enjoyed for many years. Please be assured that the decision to remove a product from our regular line is never taken lightly and is done only after careful consideration of all factors. It is never easy for us to make the decision to discontinue any of our products knowing that they will be missed by some and we truly regret any inconvenience. There may be alternative products that could be suitable for you in our other lines. You can peruse the online product catalogue. 4. Does Redken test on animals? We confirm that REDKEN, part of the L'Oréal Group, has carried out no animal testing on its entire range of products since 1989. For several years now, our research laboratories have made tremendous efforts to develop alternative methods of testing. Should you wish to obtain information on these methods, as well as our very important achievements in this particular field, we invite you to visit our website at www.loreal.com. On the pages below, you will find details about our testing methods: 5. Are Redken products sold at mass merchandisers, grocery chains, etc. of the same quality? We would like to inform you that Redken products are authorized for sale to consumers exclusively through professional beauty salons. Only through these channels, will you receive professional product, professional advice and the Redken warranty. When the product is sold at mass merchandisers, grocery chains, large retailers, drug stores etc... Redken has no information about the product - its origin, transport & storage conditions - and therefore cannot guarantee its quality. We would therefore recommend purchasing through your hairdresser to ensure that you are receiving a personalized consultation, Redken quality product and that your purchases will be fully guaranteed.
